Mini Account

Day traders that don't have access to a lot of capital can open up a "mini account?"

Mini accounts (also known as forex mini accounts) can be opened with a few hundred dollars. Usually, mini accounts allow a trader to trade lots (or "chunks") of 10,000 units of a given currency pair using leverage.

Many brokerage firms nowadays allow you to now open one account where you can trade both mini lots as well as standard lots.
