MetaTrader (MT) 4 is probably the most popular day trading platform for typical forex traders.
It is very easy to use and provides very nice charts and the ability to automate strategies using programming scripts called “Expert Advisors.” It also allows traders to generate very nice history reports of their trading activity (with statistics like profit factor, % of winning/losing trades, etc.).
We currently use a MetaTrader broker that is also a publicly traded and regulated bank. This provides a higher level of account protection that is very important to us.
In the trading account section I provide an option to use MT4.
